Harmony House:
In 1974, the Chorus of the Genesee purchased the Webster Grange Hall. The building, which dates back to 1899, houses meetings, rehearsals, and other Chorus activities, as well as Grange functions. The chapter is one of very few in SPEBSQSA to own such a facility.
Harmony House has a lot to offer. The main floor has an auditorium with seating for over 100, a stage at the front, and a bar at the back. The auditorium is extremely flexible and can be set with folding chairs or tables. The auditorium floor is wood, and we often hear compliments from people who've danced on it. The lower level has a dining room, also with capacity for over 100. The dining room was renovated in 2001, and has a new tile floor. At the back of the dining room is an industrial-strength kitchen with ample counter space, a large gas stove, and several ovens. There is a bar at the opposite end of the dining room. The top floor houses a choral rehearsal room with risers for dozens, a piano, and seating for everyone. The motif of Harmony House is being maintained in harmony with the late 1800's.
Harmony House hosts many events, including craft shows, plays, birthday parties, wedding receptions, wedding anniversary parties, corporate meetings and parties, garage sales, rehearsals, and more. Please contact the Harmony House Manager for more information.

Home Sweet Home
Harmony House is located one block east of the intersection of East Main Street (NY 404) and South Avenue (NY 250) in the Village of Webster. The street address (but not the mailing address) is 58 East Main Street / Webster NY 14580. The building is two stories, white, wood-faced, and hard to miss!
Tuesday nights from 7:00 to 10:00 are the best time to visit, since those are normal Chorus rehearsals. If you'd like to stop by and see what we're all about, and maybe even do some singing, Tuesday is the night.
By GPS or by Web
Some navigation systems have difficulty with "58 East Main Street." For some of them, saying "Main St E" is the answer. For others, it's better to specify the intersection: RT-404 & Kircher Park.
Directions from the New York Thruway
- Travel the Thruway to the Rochester exit at I-390. (From this exit, Harmony House is less than thirty minutes away.)
- Travel I-390 North to exit 14, 590.
- Travel 590 North to exit 10B: 104 East.
- Travel 104 East to the Webster exit.
- Turn right at the light onto 250 South.
- Turn left at the next light onto East Main Street (404 East).
- At the end of the block, Harmony House will be on your left.
- Turn right at the light exiting the airport, following signs for I-390 North.
- Travel I-390 North to 490 East.
- Travel I-490 East to 590 North.
- Travel 590 North to exit 10B: 104 East.
- Travel 104 East to the Webster exit.
- Turn right at the light onto 250 South.
- Turn left at the next light onto East Main Street (404 East).
- At the end of the block, Harmony House will be on your left.
Harmony House is located one block east of the intersection of South Avenue and East Main Street in Webster. As of this writing, all four of RGRTA's routes to Webster have a stop at that intersection. Check RGRTA's web site for specific times and routes.
Finding Harmony House once on East Main
If you reach another traffic light (Phillips Road), you've gone too far. Harmony House is on the corner of East Main Street and Kircher Park. Harmony House has a parking lot behind it. You can also park in the bank parking lot across East Main.
